Did you know that window collisions cause as many as 1 billion bird deaths to occur annually in the United States alone? Join Conservation Educator Kyra Blum and a local bird expert to get some hands-on experience monitoring for bird collisions in downtown Kalamazoo. Find out how to collect data on this phenomenon while learning the importance of bird conservation.

Cancellation Policy
Weather-related cancellations: Programs will be canceled if the temperature or wind chill goes below 10 degrees and it is dry, or if the temperature is below freezing and it is raining or icy. Please check KNC's website or social media for cancellations prior to coming if the weather is inclement. You will also receive an email if the program is cancelled. Cancellations due to weather will be refunded. For cancellation prior to the event's registration deadline, a $5 processing fee per registrant will be retained by the Kalamazoo Nature Center. Between registration deadline and the day of program, a 25% processing fee per registrant, with a minimum of $5, will be retained by KNC. No refunds the day of event or after.
