Saturday, July 16, 2-3pm 

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs have been helping feed communities with locally sourced produce for decades, but how did they come to be? Why are they important, and why should we participate in them? Explore these questions and more, then take a walk around KNC’s Delano Farms for a firsthand look at how KNC’s CSA works. 

Starts inside Delano Homestead and Delano Farm. Bring anything that would make you feel comfortable for a walk around a farm (Ex close toed shoes, sunscreen, sun hat, bug spray, etc.)

Cancellation Policy
Weather-related cancellations: Programs will be canceled if the temperature or wind chill goes below 10 degrees and it is dry, or if the temperature is below freezing and it is raining or icy. Please check KNC's website or social media for cancellations prior to coming if the weather is inclement. You will also receive an email if the program is cancelled. Cancellations due to weather will be refunded. For cancellation prior to the event's registration deadline, a $5 processing fee per registrant will be retained by the Kalamazoo Nature Center. Between registration deadline and the day of program, a 25% processing fee per registrant, with a minimum of $5, will be retained by KNC. No refunds the day of event or after.
